Este parque é da responsabilidade da Empresa de Electricidade da Madeira.

Esta infra-estrutura dispõe de uma potência por doze aerogeradores “VESTAS V52”, de 850 KW de potência unitária, e respectivos controladores e postos de transformação.

This park is the responsibility of the Electricity Company of Madeira.
This infrastructure has a capacity of twelve wind turbines "VESTAS V52," of 850 KW power per unit, and their controllers and transformation posts.

O parque dispõe de equipamentos com características bastante inovadoras adequadas a uma rede eléctrica isolada de pequena dimensão, e está munido de comando e controlo remoto, o que permite coordenar e optimizar a integração desta fonte de energia, de natureza intermitente, no sistema produtor da Ilha da Madeira. A tecnologia disponível permite que o parque seja operado a partir do centro de despacho da EEM, nos Socorridos, Funchal.

The park has a lot of equipment with innovative features suitable for a small and isolated electricity grid, and is equipped with remote command and control, allowing to coordinate and optimize the integration of this source of energy, of intermittent nature, into the producing system in the Island of Madeira. The technology available allows the park to be operated from the dispatch center of EEM, in Socorridos, Funchal.

This park is part of the strategy and objectives that have as a top priority the economic and environmental sustainability, ensuring security of supply and using sources of clean energy, fighting climate change and the promotion of competitiveness of the region.

CACHE:

Para chegares à cache poderás escolher umas das entradas sugeridas e voltar pelo mesmo caminho ou efectuar um percurso circular. Este é um percurso poderá ser feito tanto a pé como através de veículos TT.

To get to the cache you can choose one of the suggested entries, return using the same trail or make one round trip. This is a route that can be done either on foot or by TT vehicles.



O percurso circular tem 5,5km e poderá ser feito numa hora.

Grande parte do percurso é feito junto à encosta da montanha. Isto permite ter paisagens muito boas ao longo de todo o percurso.

The round trip is 5.5 km and can be done in an hour. 
Much of the route is along the mountainside. This allows to have very good scenery throughout the route.

Na zona da cache poderás ter uma paisagem fabulosa de onde poderás observar os vales de São Vicente e da Serra D'água e ao centro, o Maciço Central com os maiores picos da ilha.



In the area of the cache you can have a fabulous landscape where you can observe the valleys of São Vicente and Serra D'Água and in the center, the Central Massif with the highest peaks of the island.





Perto da cache poderás encontrar o Pináculo, um impressionante Geomonumento basáltico.

Near the cache you will find Pináculo, an impressive basalt, geological monument.
