Muitos são aqueles que já visitaram o Pico da Ana Ferreira para contemplar a magnífica escultura natural que a earthcache nos mostra, mas poucos são os que já se aventuraram um pouco mais e descobriram que este fenómeno não acaba ali. As colunas prismáticas continuam montanha acima ao longo de cerca de 800m terminando no marco geodésico que podemos contemplar ao longe. Quem subir lá cima, até ao 283 metros de altitude, terá uma panorâmica geral sobre toda a ilha, chegando a ver a Madeira e as ilhas Desertas em dias de boa visibilidade.
Many are those who have visited the Pico da Ana Ferreira to admire the magnificent natural sculpture that the earthcache shows, but there are few who have ventured a little further and found that this phenomenon does not end there. The prismatic columns continue uphill along about 800m finishing in a geodesic landmark that can be admired from afar. Whoever goes there, up to 283 meters above sea level, will have an overview of the whole island, seeing the Deserted Islands and Madeira on clear days.
O desafio começa na eartcache onde deves procurar pelos trilhos marcados tanto à direita como à esquerda para começar a tua subida. O percurso faz-se ao longo das colunas prismáticas dando a sensação que estamos andando sobre um piano.
The challenge begins on the earthcache nearby, where you should look for the trails on both right and left to begin your ascent. The route is done over the prismatic columns giving the sensation that we are walking on a piano.
Poderás observar marcas da anterior passagem de pessoas na zona, procura segui-las.
À medida que te aproximares do objectivo final o piano irá se tornar cada vez mais vertical e o nível de dificuldade sobe. Ao chegares ao marco geodésico, contempla a vista e deixa a cache bem coberta.
You will be able to observe some tracks from the previous passage of people in the area, try to follow them.
As you approach the final goal the piano will become increasingly vertical and the difficulty level rises. When you reach the geodesic landmark, admire the view and let the cache well covered.
